From your first track day through to club racing, we prepare motorcycles properly — safety wired, set up, inspected and ready to ride. Track bikes are different beasts. They deserve a workshop that understands that.
Based in Cranbourne — looking after motorcycle riders from across the wider region:
Whether you're heading out for a first-time ride day at Phillip Island, Broadford or Winton, or you're a regular at club rounds, your motorcycle needs to be prepared to a different standard than a road bike. Priesty's Motorcycle Garage prepares track bikes for riders from across Melbourne — Cranbourne, Clyde, Berwick, Narre Warren, Pakenham, Frankston and beyond.
We work through track day rider's checklists and club racing rulebooks — making sure your bike will pass scrutineering and, more importantly, that nothing on it is going to let you down at lean angle.
Safety wiring is one of the most basic and most overlooked parts of track preparation. We drill and wire sump plugs, oil filters, oil filler caps, brake calipers and any other fasteners required by the relevant rulebook or your peace of mind. All wire work is done cleanly with stainless wire and proper tools.
Beyond wiring we check coolant (water-only for most race series — we can flush coolant and refill with distilled water and a track-legal additive), brakes (pads, fluid, hose condition), tyres, chain, sprockets, suspension, fairing fitment and lever and footpeg condition.
A track bike with road suspension settings will hold you back. We work through static and rider sag, spring rates, compression and rebound damping, and have your suspension set up properly for your weight, your bike and the circuit you're riding. For more advanced riders we can review feedback and data to keep refining setup between sessions.
We fit track compound tyres, advise on warmer settings and pressures, and balance every wheel. Between track outings we service the motorcycle to a higher standard — fresh oil, fresh brake fluid, clean filters, fresh chain lube — so you arrive at the next round confident in the bike.
If you do go down, bring the bike in for a thorough crash inspection. Bent levers, cracked rearsets and tweaked controls are easy fixes — but it's the things you can't see, like cracked frames or seized bearings, that matter.

We set up suspension in the workshop based on your weight, bike and the circuit you're heading to. Track-side setup adjustments are typically the rider's responsibility once you know what each click does.
