Modern motorcycles are full of sensors, control modules and tightly integrated electrical systems. When something isn't right, you need a workshop that can diagnose it properly — not just throw parts at the problem.
Based in Cranbourne — looking after motorcycle riders from across the wider region:
Whether it's a check-engine light, a no-start, an intermittent stall or a strange electrical gremlin, we take a methodical approach to motorcycle diagnostics. Riders from Cranbourne, Clyde, Berwick, Narre Warren, Pakenham and across south-east Melbourne bring us their hard-to-diagnose problems precisely because we don't guess.
We start with a clear description of the issue from you, then move through a structured process — fault code reading, voltage and resistance testing, signal checks at the relevant sensors and a thorough visual inspection — until the root cause is found and confirmed.
A flat battery is usually a symptom, not the cause. We carry out full charging system testing including battery load testing, charging voltage measurement at multiple RPMs, stator output testing and regulator/rectifier diagnosis. If your bike has been killing batteries, struggling to start or going flat on standby, we'll find out why.
We also handle starter motor testing and replacement, kill switch and ignition switch faults, and side-stand / clutch interlock issues.
Wiring issues — chafed looms, water-affected connectors, broken pins, dodgy aftermarket installs — cause a huge proportion of motorcycle electrical problems. We trace, repair and rebuild damaged sections of loom properly, using correct gauge wire, heat-shrink and OEM-spec connectors where possible.
On the sensor side we test and replace crank and cam position sensors, throttle position sensors, MAP sensors, O₂ sensors, speed sensors and ABS sensors — using live data wherever the platform allows.
We charge for diagnostic time, not for the parts we replace — which means we have no incentive to keep swapping components in the hope of finding the fault. You get a clear explanation of what's wrong, what it'll cost to fix, and what the options are.
Diagnostic time is billed by the hour. Most faults are identified within the first hour. We'll give you a clear estimate up front.
We have diagnostic tools that cover most modern Japanese and European motorcycles. If your platform requires specialist equipment we'll let you know up front.
Could be the battery itself, the charging system, a parasitic drain or a wiring fault. A proper diagnosis will identify the actual cause rather than guessing.
Yes — we repair damaged sections of loom using correct gauge wire, soldered joints and heat-shrink for a clean, durable repair.
Yes — intermittent faults are our specialty. They take patience and a methodical approach, both of which we bring to every job.
Send us a quick message and we'll get back to you with a quote or booking time. After hours and weekend appointments are available.
